I thought it was very cute and had a lot of sauce, especially episodes 3 and 4. Obviously the whole franchise could do with less human characters (I do understand it’s hard with expensive CGI characters) but at least the Wade stuff wasn’t painful. The Alan Wake style power ballad depicting Knuckles’ origin and his fight against Iblis was what won me over. Obviously it’s not “good”, and I would’ve liked to see Knuckles play a much bigger role, but it was fun for what it was. Also I will agree that the wedding scene is much much worse than anything from this show. It was also better than literally every MCU Disney+ show besides Loki and maybe Moon Knight

As someone who hadn't heard of Fairview, it downright hurt to realize how recent it is. It looks like it came out in 2008, it would have made sense if it came out in a decade when South Park was relevant, but no it came out post-covid.

I only watched people play so take my opinions with a grain of poo. The 3D look was alright in my opinion, I mean it's kinda hard to do complex level geometry if that's what you want in your game. In comparision to the 2D RPG games and the fact South Park is 2D, the 3D look doesn't work, I can agree. Though what if the world was 3D, but the characters had 2D sprites that would animate? Kinda like how one of their later season intros would look: 3D world but with 2D characters? Could look interesting and it would allow for more complext level design instead of side scrolling plateforming. The plot of the game feels... missing. Like the game just starts with it being a Snow Day, and all the factions are separated from one another, and they've done a LOT of world building before we the player enter the game, so it feels like there is some set up that we missed. Plus all the events of the game feel really rushed. It's a bad blizzard, but it's already the end of the world for the adults of the town? Feels like this should have taken a couple days, and this would make for a compeling story: What starts as a normal snow day becomes a serious blizzard. As we are defeating the factions, and uniting them back at Koopa Keep, the weather is getting worse, snow is piling up, this game is starting to turn more serious. But as to the level length, I think it's only down to waves of enemies because this game, unlike the others before it, is a multiplayer game mostly. You only get 2 cards in single player, but 4 players give more variety. I think this game was a multiplayer game primarily and a single player secondary which is why you have the issues with cards and level design with the same enemy variety Or at least that's just my opinion.
